Silicon carbide is mainly produced by electric arc furnace. The raw materials are graphite and silicon dioxide, and silicon carbide is produced by reaction at high temperature. The specific process is as follows:

1. Mix graphite and silica in a certain proportion and load them into the arc furnace.

2. Heat through the electrode to make the mixture react at high temperature.

3. The reaction products are silicon carbide and a certain amount of CO and SiO2 and other gases.

4. Silicon carbide can be obtained after the reaction product is cooled, separated and crushed.
